…What plants say...

“What plants say” is an ongoing drawing series.
Usually the plant that I should be working with show themselves in some form.
Once they appear in front of me, I create a relationship with them.
With the plant, I would live, visit their environment, drink, eat ,
breath, take a bath, journey, smoke, meditate and dream.
This process can take very long time or short time sometimes.
After however long it takes, they start to transfer the visual and words to me, and I transfer that on the paper.
These are not directly connected to the medicinal properties of the plants,
but more of my personal relationship with each plant.

…What kudzu say...

The land is here
for seeds to grow

Leaves listen
to the moon and sun for direction

Vines coil
and weave the songs by elders

Roots spread
to deliver the words

Stories are told
to connect all the lands

…What pines say...

Shooting stars whisper
”wake up”

To listen and remember
What our grandmothers said,
What our grandfathers said.

Open eyes, mind and the heart.
Our loves are what you are made of.
Spark as you should be.

…What red clover say...

Make the heart rhythm
Firm and bold
We are in this together

This that we are in
This that within us
This that around us
This that this is in

From small to big

All in this oneness

…What chrysanthemum say...

Make a commitment
Speak out loud
Let your heart open
Let the spirits guide you
Let the soul hear you
Let the universe catch it
Let your inner light shine
Let the doors open
Make it happen.

…What willow say...

Stroke away,
the tears and create waves.
Delivering,
songs to awaken the inner eyes.
Clearing,
dusts up to the deepest dark sky and
turns them to shiny stars.
Storming,
reminder to feel the earth
beneath the feet on each step.
Swirling,
the invitation to come play.

Wind blows.
Trust,
the change of direction
of where they voice.

Use your heart as a compass.
Raise up the sail.
Breath deep.
Embrace that brave soul within.

... What Goldenrod says …

Sprinkle the golden dust
In the space of emptiness
Beyond this time and space
Remembering where we come from
Remembering who we are
Remembering the now, and here.

Behind the closed eyes
Dancing in the ever-changing golden light
Transforming
Transitioning
With birth and death
Right on time
Within the palm of the divine.

…What chicory say...

What are you protecting
To feel the truth within?

Unveiling with the courageous soul.
Recognize the power of seeing this unknown darkness.

Fear is not the one to feed or listen.

Dance in to the law of mother nature
With the fearless child in your heart.

And always be gentle, gentle, gentle...

… What St. John's wort say …

Little touch of wind
brings pierce pain
So raw
So bare
Bright red flesh
exposed

Tender tender tender
Tend to your open wound
Old scab ripped off
Revealing of agony
Feeling of EVERYTHING
to the bone

Tender Tender Tender
Tend to your open wound
Scream for it
Cry for it
Stay with it
Listen to it’s story

Tender Tender Tender
Tend to your open wound
As you are the most sensitive flower
Feed with water
Nourish the soil
Clean the leaves

Soon the Sun will light
Stop the fight
Dry the tears
Soften your bodyLetting the flower to bloom
